Description
Receives (by telephone, fax, or email) requests for quotations, orders and lead times from customers. Provides technical guidance to customers and routinely researches customer part specifications to complete customer quotes and orders. Coordinates with other departments in handling purchase orders and providing value-added services to customers.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Respond in a timely manner to incoming tasks (including requests for quotes, order entry, application assistance, product selection, or resolving other customer issues) to both our customers and outside sales representatives of AHP.
- Use P21 system to retrieve customer information, stock status information, the status of purchase orders, and make changes to customer purchase orders. Ensures that correct codes are used for retrieving and inputting information.
- Checks with accounting department concerning credit status of customer when orders are entered into P21 System.
- Contact vendors to locate requested items to meet customer's delivery requirements. Relay this information to customer.
Requirements

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Mechanical Aptitude a plus.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software to complete reports and logs.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment with associates.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required. Related experience and/or training are strongly preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- The essential functions of this role regularly require the employee to sit; use their hands to grasp, handle, or feel objects; and to speak and hear effectively. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
