Job Title: Manufacturing Technician Level 1

FLSA Status: non-exempt

Reports to: Store Manager (or similar position)

Position Overview

Safely perform specific retread tasks with emphasis toward producing high quality product per Commercial Tire specifications and time standards.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

A team player committed to continuous improvement, high quality and safety.
Adheres to and supports safe work practices and Commercial Tire’s safety guidelines and standards.
Assists in the manufacturing of retreading tires.
Maintains high quality workmanship.
Keeps supervisor informed of production problems as they occur.
Performs minor maintenance and repair of specifically assigned equipment & keeps work area in safe, clean and workable manner.
Safely operate at least 3 assigned machines, tools and equipment in the shop, which may include but not limited to: Skive / Extruder / Chambers / Final / Builder / Buffer / Initial
1. Manager determines areas trained in.
To be trained – in areas, must be able to meet performance and time standards per bandag.
Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

0-4 Years’ experience (preferred)
Must be 18 years or older
Must pass the CRTAP following 30 days of employment.
High school diploma (or equivalent)
Able to read technical & operational manuals
