Commercial Tire is a 100% employee-owned company in the automotive industry headquartered in Meridian, Idaho. Commercial Tire was founded in 1968 by entrepreneur Bob Schwenkfelder in Boise, Idaho. Over the course of the next five decades, the enterprise he initiated evolved into one of the largest commercial and retail operations in the Northwestern region. Today, Commercial Tire operates 45 locations throughout Idaho, Washington, Oregon, and Utah.
In 2020, Commercial Tire became employee-owned when they established their Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). At Commercial Tire, employee-owners are driven by their personal stake in enhancing the customer experience.
