What We’re Looking For
A minimum of a BS degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university
0 - 4 years of Bridge Engineering experience
Engineer Intern (EI) Certification or the ability to receive Certification within 6 months of hire date
What You’ll Do
Review and check standard structural design calculations.
Assist with structural analysis and design of standard bridge components using analysis software.
Assist with the development of preliminary details using CAD software and provide information to CAD technicians for development of contract plans.
Provide information for design reports.
Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned, including field inspections and construction service assignments.
Communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing.
Assist with the preparation of project-related documents and internal correspondence.
Assist and perform and check quantity take-offs from contract plans.
Review and check drawings under the careful supervision of a Senior Engineer
Use engineering analysis software such as LUSAS, RISA-3D, LEAP Bridge, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.
Able to learn and correctly apply relevant design specifications, including: AASHTO, AREMA, AISC, ACI, etc.
