As a Water/Wastewater Graduate Engineer at ISG, you’ll be at the forefront of designing and implementing systems that ensure clean, safe water for all. Our Water/Wastewater team serves the essential Municipal and Industrial clients throughout the entire US and are comprised of employee owners in Sioux Falls, Storm Lake, Des Moines, and St. Louis Park offices. We are a full-service, multi-disciplinary team, who perform award winning work in planning, design, survey, and construction.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Assist in developing conceptual, preliminary, and detailed designs for water and wastewater systems
- Prepare detailed construction drawings, including horizontal and vertical alignments, utility design, and rehabilitation
- Assistance with construction, start-up, troubleshooting, and operation of new systems
- Conducting field observation, inspection and data collection
- Assisting in the preparation of permit submittals for water/wastewater projects
- Collaborating with team members, communities, and stake holders to define data needs, project requirements and outputs or to develop applications
- Other duties as assigned

- City of Sioux Rapids, IA
- Upgrade water treatment plant to include additional source well, ion exchange for nitrate removal. Project also included new building, high service pumps, valves and controls.
- Forsman Farms, Howard Lake, MN
- Wastewater pretreatment system to meet compliance requirements of the City owned wastewater treatment plant for a heavily automated egg-processing facility.
- Clarion Water Distribution System, Clarion, IA
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or the ability to obtain it within a specified timeframe
- Demonstrable interest in water/wastewater projects through relevant experience, such as internships or association memberships
- Strong technical skills related to water and wastewater engineering
- Excellent organizational, multi-tasking and communications skills
