Overview
Scope of Responsibilities: Oversees the day-to-day operations of the Pharmacy department. Assists in the training and development of subordinate staff, estimating personnel needs, assigning work, meeting completion dates, interpreting and ensuring consistent application of organizational policies. Relies on experience and professional judgment to plan and accomplish assigned tasks and goals.
Job Summary: Responsible for the implementation and adherence to the Noble Standard of Practice as it relates to the provision of the highest quality health care service to our customers
Travel: Travel may be required to meet with State Boards of Pharmacy. Attendance at various Noble business and management conferences may be required.
Shifts: Includes day, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts
Responsibilities
Job Duties:
- Follows the Noble Standard of Practice to dispense prescriptions and counsel patients
- Support fulfillment of specialty or niche distribution products
- Obtain and maintain licensure in other states as required
- Provide support and guidance to patients as part of Noble’s Clinical Management Programs
- Always ensure compliance with all Noble policies and procedures
- Participate in after-hours/on-call rotation as required
- Performs all quality assurance steps to ensure a technically accurate prescription is dispensed. Reports dispensing incidents in a timely manner, in accordance with company guidelines
- Follows all State and Federal guidelines governing the practice of Pharmacy
- Monitors all claims for proper reimbursement and collection of funds due
- Manages and balances the pharmacy inventory to ensure maximum turns while remaining in-stock for customer needs. Oversees the transmitting, processing, and receiving of orders to and from the Noble Warehouse and additional suppliers as needed
- Oversees the checking of pharmacy inventory for outdates and processing of all returns
- Ensures prescription files and other manual records are maintained in accordance with all state and federal guidelines
- Ensures compliance with all rules and regulations pertaining to Mississippi, New York State, and all other states that prescriptions are dispensed and delivered to
- Ensures in-store pharmacy technology is being used to its fullest potential to ensure a maximum return on investment of the technology and life span
- Ensure outstanding customer service is always exhibited by all employees
- Ensure all loss Prevention policies are followed by all employees and report deviations from said policies to Loss Prevention
- Oversees the maintenance of the pharmacy department to ensure a clean and professional environment
- Maintains and develops professional relationships with doctors and others in the health service professions
- Maintains an awareness of developments in the Pharmacy and Health Care Services fields that relate to job responsibilities and integrates them into own practice
- Maintains confidentiality regarding all patient information
- Facilitates communication between professional staff and Noble personnel
- Assists in meeting or exceeding budgetary sales guidelines and operating the pharmacy within said guidelines
- Assist in the training and development of all pharmacy department personnel
- Interface with various auditors and outside agencies, as needed
- Responsible for completing all mandatory and regulatory training programs
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education:
- Minimum: BS degree in Pharmacy
- Preferred: PharmD degree in Pharmacy
Special Conditions of Employment:
- Drug test
- Initial and continuous exclusion and sanction/disciplinary monitoring
- Any and all additional eligibility requirements based on the specific position
Compensation
$65.00-65.86 per hour.
The final offer will be determined after careful consideration of multiple factors such as relevant skills, years of experience, and education.
