Overview
As an Air Quality Principal for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) you will lead air permitting and regulatory compliance programs for private-sector clients with complex technical/regulatory issues in the manufacturing, oil & gas, power, solid waste, and mining industry consulting groups. You will develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their processes and develop permitting and compliance strategies to help their facilities maintain operating flexibility. You will also represent the company at conferences and in meetings to resolve project issues, plan and coordinate work, and negotiate contracts. You will work closely with other CEC air quality practice members across the country to develop opportunities, build business relationships, and apply best practices to address client needs, and mentor junior and mid-level staff in the proper planning and execution of air quality projects, and in directing or conducting technical reviews of client deliverables
Qualifications
- 15+ years consulting, compliance, or industry experience;
- B.S. or M.S. in Chemical or Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Meteorology, or related fields;
- Experience with emission inventory calculations, air permit application preparation, and compliance reports;
- Experience in Project Management of air quality permitting and compliance projects;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Knowledge of USEPA air quality regulations
Preferred:
- P.E. license;
- Knowledge of New Source Review procedures;
- Experience with Best Available Control Technology analyses; and/or
- Familiarity with air compliance in a variety of industries.
