Overview
As a CAD Technician for Civil & Environmental Consultants Inc. (CEC), in either our Sacramento or San Diego office, you'll be working on project teams that create land development plans for our varied client base. You will work from detailed sketches and verbal or written direction to produce computer-generated to-scale engineering drawings, cross-sections, details, figures, graphs, charts, overlays and simple isometric drawings. You'll edit word-processing documents and spreadsheets used in drawings and understand procedures for file saving, retrieving, and transferring. You will also perform self-reviews of completed work to find and correct obvious errors before issuing the product for review by others. When the drawings are ready you may aid in general office functions such as printing and folding drawings, deliveries and copying.
The pay range for this position is between $21-30/hour based on experience and location (in addition, CEC offers overtime pay and other great benefits).
Qualifications
- 0-5 years' experience and/or 1-2 years of training at technical school;
- Successful completion of high school diploma;
- Attention to detail;
- Ability to speak and write professionally;
- Good analytical and problem solving skills;
- Civil 3D experience is a plus.
