Torch Technologies is seeking a CTG C2 Air Defense Weapons Operations Test Engineer to support the 96 Cyberspace Test Group (96 CTG) at Eglin AFB, FL, working on the Advanced Battle Management System (ABMS) Test Team as the Command and Control (C2) Air Defense Surveillance Operations Test Engineer (TE) responsible for developmental testing of the most advanced C3 software/ weapons applications.
This position requires a highly motivated individual with Test Engineer experience to include the below essential duties:
- Serves as the technical advisor for C2 systems Cloud Based Command and Control (CBC2)
- Conduct data analysis and apply knowledge of engineering technology. These tasks include test and evaluation, test support, logistics, sustainment, operations analyses, technical studies, and various analyses and support activities including program/system security.
- Assist in the development of test objectives/criteria, performance measures, test phase entry/exit criteria, analysis of design constraints, functional capabilities, and metrics.
- Support Developmental Test and Evaluation (DT&E), Operational Test (OT), Force Development Evaluation (FDE), Risk Reduction Testing (RRT) and certification for test readiness. Identify deficiencies, verify compliance with specifications and standards, and assess stability of various system configurations.
- Support senior engineers when interacting with System Program Offices, other military services, and development contractors.
- Prepare, execute, review, and analyze test plans, procedures, metrics, and reports throughout the software development life cycle. Develop and write methods of tests, Concept of Operations (CONOPS), test cases, test objectives/procedures, test directives, technical or letter reports, analysis and review of requirements, and other test process documents as required in the conduct of testing.
- Coordinate schedules, pre-and post-test activities, logistics of test planning, and test results.
Qualifications And Education Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must have an active Secret level security clearance. Must be able to maintain clearance at required level.
- Master’s Degree in a technical field. A Bachelor’s degree plus 10 years of experience; or 12 years’ experience may be substituted.
- Knowledge of and experience within past 5 years in NORAD Air Defense Sector (ADS) Operations as a Senior Director or Air Weapons Officer or Weapons Director
- Knowledge of and experience within past 5 years in NORAD C2 Weapons systems Air Picture Management (APM) Surveillance Operations as an Air Surveillance Officer (ASO) or Air Surveillance Technician (AST)
- Knowledge of and experience in Air Defense Sector Weapon System Battle Control System Fixed (BCSF) with the competency to learn other advanced C2 systems
- Demonstrate ability to work effectively on a team and lead/direct the work of others
- Proficiency in the use and integration of MS Office applications
- Effectively communicate orally and possess technical writing skills
- Must be able to obtain/maintain Secret clearance - US Citizenship
Preferred Skills
- Experience directing / maintaining track classification changes to support C2 data link nodes and execute wartime ID procedures in support of NORAD & USNORTHCOM
- USAF Weapons School Weapons Course Graduate
- Understanding of developmental test and evaluation processes, specifically- acquisition program development and detailed knowledge of Air Force C2 test methodologies including AFI 99-103. Familiarity with Design of Experiments
- Experience directing battle management, force employment, status reporting and control of assets in support of CRC or AOC operations
- Knowledge of and experience in Tactical Data Links interoperability concepts and procedures
- AGILE Software Development testing. AGILE test design, execution and reporting as part of DevOps and continuous testing
- Ability to interface with prime contractors developing the system under test (SUT) regarding test objectives, schedules, budgets, and methods of test
- Familiarity with C2 modeling and simulation
- JT-101/102 level Link 16 certification
