We are seeking a Business Support Manager
The Business Support Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient operation of the organization by overseeing various administrative functions and providing strategic support to management. This role is responsible for implementing support processes and policies that ensure efficiency, consistency, and ensuring internal and external customers receive high-quality service from the Business Support Team. The Business Support Manager is not only a team leader, but also the liaison between the support team and the other teams in the organization.
This position also plays a critical role leading Cascade's Safety Programs with the help of the Safety Committee. This position is responsible for driving updates to safety training and maintaining compliance with OSHA and ISN requirements. As the primary contact for safety matters, they proactively manage safety documentation, incident tracking, and training records, ensuring key updates are shared with both the committee and executives. Their coordination of safety initiatives, including Red Cross trainings and compliance reviews, helps maintain a culture of safety and mitigates risks across the organization. This position requires a dynamic individual with strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

What You Will Be Doing:

·Manage and optimize administrative functions and processes, including office operations, travel, and facilities, to enhance overall efficiency.
·Lead and mentor a team of administrative professionals, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
·Collaborate with management to develop and execute strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
·Analyze data and prepare reports to provide insights that guide decision-making and improve business support performance.
·Oversee special projects, from planning to execution, ensuring timely delivery and successful outcomes.
·Lead Safety Committee operations by scheduling and facilitating meetings, preparing agendas, capturing action items, and providing quarterly safety reports for the Executive Representative.
·Ensure compliance with safety standards by reviewing and updating safety training content annually, maintaining safety documents (e.g., OSHA 300 logs) in SharePoint, and collaborating with L&D to update training materials in Dayforce.
·Track and manage safety incidents and near-miss reports, review training compliance data, and provide regular updates to the Safety Committee.
·Coordinate and support training initiatives, including Red Cross trainings and maintaining documentation of safety training records in collaboration with L&D.
·Proactively manage ISN/Veriforce notifications and requirements, provide updates at committee meetings, and ensure the completion of ISOP Safety Observation Forms.
This is a full-time, exempt position located in Portland Oregon. Will need to be in our Portland office 1-2 times per week.
Minimal travel is anticipated for this role.
Qualifications
Applicants for this role are required to have:
- Associate or bachelor's degree in business administration, occupational health and safety, or similar area of study or work experience
- Knowledge of industry-specific safety standards
- Strong analytical skills, including proficiency in data analysis tools and software.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and problem solve effectively at all organizational levels.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a results-oriented mindset, a commitment to continuous improvement, and a customer-centric mindset.
A successful candidate should also demonstrate these preferred characteristics and/or skills:
- OSHA 10- or 30-hour card preferred

Compensation & Benefits
Our total rewards include competitive pay and excellent benefits. The salary range for this position in Portland OR is $70,400 - $105,600/year.However, final salary offered may vary depending on non-discriminatory factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experiences, and geographical location if different than the above.
