REQUIREMENTS:
Project Oversight:
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of field crews, subcontractors, and equipment operators
- Ensure the proper execution of construction plans, specifications, and schedules
- Monitor progress and provide feedback to the Superintendent on project status, delays, or changes
Safety Management:
- Enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment for all personnel
- Conduct daily safety meetings and ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards
- Identify potential hazards and take corrective action as needed
Resource Management:
- Allocate labor, equipment, and materials efficiently to meet project demands
- Inspect tools and equipment to ensure proper working condition and availability
- Minimize waste and manage site logistics to optimize productivity
Quality Control:
- Inspect work for compliance with project specifications and industry standards
- Address and resolve any quality issues promptly
- Maintain detailed records of project progress and issues encountered
Leadership & Team Development:
- Train and mentor crew members to enhance skills and knowledge
- Foster a positive team environment, encouraging collaboration and problem-solving
- Evaluate crew performance and provide constructive feedback
- Must pass pre-employment and subsequent random drug screenings
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in heavy civil construction (roads, bridges, earthwork, utilities, etc.)
- Proven track record in a supervisory or leadership role
- Must be able to effectively communicate
- Will be required to work in a team environment with fellow employee-owners
- Able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs
SKILLS:
- Strong knowledge of construction techniques, equipment, and safety practices
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in reading blueprints and construction documents
