Position Title: Human Resources Assistant
Location: Danville, IL
Schedule: 8:00 am-4:30 pm CT
Salary Range: $20/hr-$22/hr

Summary:
This position is responsible for providing assistance to the Human Resources department. This includes providing assistance in various areas of HR including payroll, employee relations, employee recognition, and other administrative duties. This is a support position that is a great introduction to the Human Resources field.
Responsibilities
- Prepares exit packets for employees leaving CCMSI in an accurate and timely manner.
- Assists Payroll Coordinator by auditing timecards for completion each pay period as well as other various payroll audits.
- Assists with Employee Recognition initiatives including service award gifts, receptions, uploading points, and certificates for awardees.
- Prepares, prints, and distributes service anniversary certificates to managers and supervisors for presentation to employees on a yearly basis.
- Ordering memorial service flowers on behalf of CCMSI in accordance with Bereavement Policy.
- Coordinating Retirement receptions for the Danville office when they occur in accordance with Recognition Policy.
- Assist HR professionals with various projects and assignments.

Individual must be:
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite; Adobe Acrobat highly preferred
- Able to write and communicate professionally
- Able to prioritize and work well within deadlines
- Team player with a positive attitude.
Education and/or Experience
- High School Diploma required
- Associate’s Degree preferred but not required
Nice to Have:
- Bilingual (Spanish) proficiency — highly valued for communicating with claimants, employers, or vendors, but not required.
Computer Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word is required.

Compensation & Compliance
The posted salary reflects CCMSI’s good-faith estimate in accordance with applicable pay transparency laws. Actual compensation will be based on qualifications, experience, geographic location, and internal equity. This role may also qualify for bonuses or additional forms of pay.
