Job Summary: The Systems Engineer is responsible for engineering, delivering, supporting, and securing our modern corporate computing solutions. This role involves technical analysis, evaluations, issue resolution, and implementation recommendations for Android, Windows, iOS and macOS endpoint deployments, software packaging/distribution and overall management of these platforms. Related activities will include infrastructure management, security policy implementation as well as usage of various monitoring and reporting tools. The position also handles escalated incidents, problem resolution, and operational optimization.
Principal Duties:
- Act as a subject matter expert in modern corporate computing. Participate in the design, development, testing, and delivery of technology solutions, and manage daily operational support.
- Provide daily operational support for both corporate and store environments. Manage trouble ticket queues, build support documentation, and improve support processes to reduce ticket escalations.
- Research technology-related products and make recommendations based on business or operational requirements. Anticipate potential problem situations/risks and address them effectively.
- Apply and adhere to IT security standards in the development and design of new and existing technologies within corporate and store infrastructure.
- Maintain a high degree of decision impact due to system privileges and responsibilities.
- Analyze and refine system design, configuration, hardware, software, and associated utilities across the corporate computing and unified communications infrastructure.
- Integrate enterprise-wide tools for automating, monitoring, and managing current and future infrastructure technology.
- Administer, support, and maintain solution components; troubleshoot high-level hardware and software issues and document procedures for resolution.
- Develop processes to ensure all corporate computing runs on approved, current, and supported OS/firmware versions and configurations.
- Work with internal and external business clients to plan new systems and system enhancements to address expanding business needs.
- Provide work effort and duration estimates for projects to team leads and project managers.
- Prevent undocumented configuration changes and create audit reports to identify and remediate non-standard configurations.
- Manage inventory and assets of the infrastructure.
- Continuously improve standards to enable a more customer-focused, responsive department.
- Follow production support models and processes to enhance response times and maintain high availability of all production infrastructure components and systems.
- Engineer corporate computing and unified communications operational support activities to facilitate reporting and meet established service level agreements.
- Research, evaluate, and stay current on emerging tools, techniques, and technologies; maintain skills and capabilities through education, training, and hands-on experience. Accept new responsibilities as required to enable business growth.

Basic Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience administering a modern corporate computing environment.
- Experience building support processes and writing technical support documentation.
- Proficiency with Windows and macOS desktop imaging techniques and troubleshooting.
- Experience with software packaging and deployment methodologies.
- Experience managing, configuring, and optimizing both on-prem Active Directory domains and Entra ID tenants spanning multiple domains.
- Mid-level engineering experience in modern computing, with an emphasis on support and operational engineering.
- Experience configuring and optimizing Microsoft Group Policy.
- Experience with MDM/MAM technologies to support both company-issued and BYOD devices, including phones, tablets, handhelds, and laptops.
- Experience with Intune, Jamf, SOTI, 42gears, or similar mobile device management platforms.
- Experience administering a modern enterprise computing environment.
- Exposure to ServiceNow or similar ITIL-related platforms.
- Working knowledge of scripting and automation, focusing on Powershell and/or Power Automate.
- Experience managing, optimizing, and troubleshooting VDI/DaaS environments. Experience with Amazon Workspaces preferred.
- Experience in administering M365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, the Office suite, OneDrive, Defender, and related services.
- Experience maintaining, enhancing, and customizing user experience monitoring tools such as Datadog or similar platforms.
