Controller – Manufacturing
Location: Palmdale, CA (on-site)
Compensation: $130,000–$150,000 base salary + discretionary bonus
A well-established manufacturing company near Lancaster is seeking an experienced Controller to oversee accounting operations and provide financial leadership to the organization. This role will partner closely with executive leadership and operations to support accurate reporting, strong controls, and informed decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all accounting functions including general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, and month-end/year-end close
- Prepare and review monthly financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses
- Maintain and enhance internal controls, policies, and procedures
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning
- Coordinate annual audits and serve as primary liaison with external auditors and tax advisors
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable regulatory requirements
- Support operational and cost accounting analysis to improve margins and efficiency
- Lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA strongly preferred)
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, cost accounting, inventory, and standard costing
- Hands-on, detail-oriented leader with strong communication skills
