About Us
Psomas is a 100% employee-owned engineering firm headquartered in Culver City, California. In 1946 as a response to the end of World War II and an influx of public service projects, George Psomas founded a small surveying firm. Over 75 years later, Psomas is a thriving company that operates 18 offices in four states.
In 2000, Psomas became employee-owned when it established its Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). The ownership culture at Psomas encourages employees to be highly collaborative to inspire one another. Tapping into the other west coast offices, employees can broaden their knowledge and expertise from their colleagues. Having an ownership stake in the success of the company gives Psomas employee owners a sense of pride and accountability.
