Position Overview

The Production Scheduler supports multiple teams—including Estimators, Detailers, Project Managers, Production/Fabrication Management, and Field Installation Management—by developing, maintaining, and coordinating project schedules. This role works closely with team leaders to build, evaluate, and optimize schedules to support successful project execution. The Production Scheduler operates in a cross-functional team environment and contributes to the development and oversight of construction-related project schedules on a company-wide basis.

Core Responsibilities

Develop resource utilization models and forecasts
Collaborate with the project team to develop, maintain, and manage project schedules
Participate in regular project team meetings across multiple projects
Ensure all projects are scheduled and forecasted using a consistent methodology
Review critical paths, hour loading, schedule content, use of relationships and lag, constraints, and milestones
Update project schedules and compare actual progress against the baseline schedule
Identify, analyze, and report schedule variances; update schedules and communicate changes as needed
Provide regular schedule analysis, metrics, and reporting to key stakeholders
Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field or equivalent trade experience, including at least three (3) years of construction scheduling experience or five (5) years in the construction industry
Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Bluebeam Revu
Proficiency with project scheduling software; experience with Microsoft Project and/or Primavera P6 strongly preferred
Project management–related certifications (e.g., Oracle, PMI, or similar professional organizations) are a plus
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with owners, subcontractors, senior leadership, and project teams
Solid understanding of the structural steel industry preferred
Detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
