Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Workers’ Compensation Claim Representative II to join our team, supporting Trucking and Transportation industry accounts. This position offers a hybrid work model based out of either Carson City or Reno, NV, with work performed Monday–Friday.
This role handles Nevada jurisdiction only and is responsible for managing lost‑time workers’ compensation claims, overseeing medical and litigation management, and delivering timely, accurate reporting to clients. A Nevada Resident WC Adjuster License and Nevada Department of Administration Hearings License are required.
Please note: This is a claims adjuster role, responsible for full cradle‑to‑grave claim handling. It is not an HR, consulting, or employer‑side position.
Responsibilities
When we hire adjusters, we look for professionals who take ownership of their work, navigate complex claims with confidence, and deliver exceptional service with integrity. In this role, you’ll manage your Nevada claims independently while contributing to a collaborative, high‑performing team.
What You’ll Do
- Investigate, evaluate, and manage Nevada lost‑time workers’ compensation claims in accordance with CCMSI standards and state regulations.
- Oversee medical management, coordinate care, and evaluate treatment plans.
- Direct and manage litigation, including working closely with defense counsel.
- Make compensability (AOE/COE) determinations and maintain thorough documentation.
- Establish, monitor, and adjust reserves within authorized levels.
- Authorize and process benefit payments, including accurate calculation of Nevada disability benefits.
- Provide timely and proactive reporting to clients.
- Review medical, legal, and miscellaneous invoices for accuracy and appropriateness.
- Pursue subrogation opportunities when applicable.
- Maintain timely diaries, document entries, and workflow standards.
- Support excess reporting requirements.
Qualifications
What You Bring
Required
- Nevada Resident Workers’ Compensation Adjuster License
- Nevada Department of Administration Hearings License
- 5–10 years of workers’ compensation claims experience (preferably lost‑time).
- Strong working knowledge of Nevada WC statutes and regulations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize in a busy, fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to manage Trucking/Transportation WC claims effectively.
- Professionalism, confidentiality, and a client‑service mindset.
- Reliable, predictable attendance during business hours.
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree or similar education.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish). — highly valued for communicating with claimants, employers, or vendors, but not required.
- Experience with high‑risk or high‑exposure trucking claims.

Compensation & Compliance
The posted salary reflects CCMSI’s good-faith estimate in accordance with applicable pay transparency laws. Actual compensation will be based on qualifications, experience, geographic location, and internal equity. This role may also qualify for bonuses or additional forms of pay.
