Room & Board has an exciting opportunity for a Senior SAP Quality Engineer to help shape and lead the future of test automation across our SAP landscape. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in establishing a mature QA practice—defining automation strategy, building scalable frameworks, and ensuring high‑quality delivery of end‑to‑end SAP business processes. You will partner closely with Business Systems, Web QA, and project teams to modernize how we validate and deliver technology solutions across the organization.
This position blends technical leadership, hands‑on automation expertise, and collaborative project work. You will not only design and build automated testing capabilities using the Tricentis suite, but also guide others in adopting best practices, influence change across teams, and contribute to long‑term quality and test management strategy. You will share your talents as a Sr. SAP Quality Engineer in the following ways:
- Own and evolve the SAP test automation strategy using the Tricentis suite (Tosca, qTest, Vision AI, API Testing, LiveCompare) aligned with business priorities and release timelines.
- Design and maintain scalable automation frameworks, including module libraries, test design patterns, test data strategies, and versioning practices.
- Build, optimize, and execute automated Tosca test cases for end‑to‑end SAP processes across ECC, S/4, and Fiori, supplementing with manual testing when needed.
- Establish QA best practices, standards, dashboards, and KPIs to measure automation coverage, defect trends, testing progress, and ROI.
- Define and manage test data to ensure reliable, repeatable test execution and full scenario coverage.
- Partner with Business Systems and Web QA to align test scope, acceptance criteria, tools, and quality standards early in the development cycle.
- Mentor Business Analysts and project teams in Tosca modeling, test design, and automation practices, supporting organizational adoption of automated testing.
- Lead defect triage, drive root‑cause analysis, refine test cases, and champion continuous improvement across teams.
- Build strong cross‑functional relationships and support change management efforts as the organization expands its automated testing capabilities.
You will bring the following experiences & qualifications as a Sr. SAP Quality Engineer:
- 5+ years of QA or software testing experience, including hands‑on experience with test automation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
- Strong expertise with Tricentis Tosca, including module creation, test case design, test data handling, API testing, Vision AI, and distributed execution.
- Experience testing SAP ECC (S/4HANA and Fiori preferred), with a deep understanding of end‑to‑end SAP business processes.
- Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, Agile/Scrum practices, and modern testing approaches (performance, security, CI/CD integration).
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills with the ability to influence cross‑functional teams.
- Proven ability to mentor team members, encourage adoption of automation tools, and support organization‑wide process change.
- High attention to detail with the ability to think through edge cases and validate complex scenarios.
- Ability to manage priorities effectively and thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
- Willingness to learn new tools, techniques, and methodologies as QA capabilities evolve.
- Ability to provide proof of identity and legal authorization to work in the United States upon hire.
