Modern Technology Solutions Inc. (MTSI) is seeking a Systems Integration Engineer (Multiple Levels) to provide Systems Engineering, Integration, & Test (SEIT) support to the United States Space Force (USSF) Operational Command and Control (C2) Acquisition Delta responsible for developing software and the supporting architecture for the organize, understand, plan, decide, direct, and monitor capabilities within the C2 Joint Capability Areas (JCAs). The position is located in Colorado Springs, CO.

Job responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to:

Managing key integration activities that will support the delivery of system-level capabilities.
Liaising with the Government program leadership to oversee requirements development and solutioning for future operations.
Supporting the development of Programs and Enterprise milestone and capabilities roadmaps into an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).
Coordinating and managing information and integration issues across the multiple Capability Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) that are focused on delivering different capabilities across the C2 Acquisition Delta.
Leading integration teams and working groups that identify, manage, and coordinate issues between the JCAs.
Performing systems integration tasks as defined in Delta documents, including the Enterprise Systems Engineering Plan (ESEP) and Enterprise Test and Evaluation Master Plan (E-TEMP).
Evaluating prime contractors' plans and schedules, and identifying disconnects between programs.
Providing technical services for program reviews and integrated schedule development/ management.
Providing technical evaluations and guidance for the development of key documents to include, but not limited to, Capability Development Documents (CDDs) and Interface Control Documents (ICDs).
Managing and maintaining the configuration of the definitions and criteria for the capability increments.
Managing and maintaining the traceability between requirements, verification, and capabilities.
Documenting engineering activities, including analyzing data, writing reports, and making recommendations based on findings to the Government leadership.
Developing and communicating roadmaps for programs, associated technologies, and product lines.
Establishing trusted and influential relationships with customers and other stakeholders.

Required Experience

Minimum 13 years of relevant DoD/IC or relevant industry work experience.
Experience working with DoD or IC acquisition organizations.
Experience working on a SEIT or Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) contract.
Experience with aspects of systems engineering such as requirements elicitation, analysis, derivation and traceability, functional analysis and allocation, WBS, trade studies, modeling and simulation, metrics, risk management, integration and test, verification and validation.
Demonstrated experience with Jira, Jira Align, Confluence, and Outlook.
Demonstrated experience with the development of Enterprise Architecture frameworks (Zachman, TOGAF, DoDAF, UAF, etc.)

Desired Experience

Experience working at Space Systems Command (SSC) or Space Operations Command (SpOC).
Knowledge of Space Domain Awareness (SDA) architectures, systems, networks, interfaces, and data flows.
Knowledge of Information Technology (IT), computer system infrastructure, data communication and network system, Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) model, and routing protocols.
Experience in Multi-Domain/Multi-Level Security architectures.
Experience working on-site in a government client environment.
Experience with Agile Software Acquisition Pathway (DoD Adaptive Acquisition Framework).
Familiarity with the software factory platform diagrams.
Working knowledge of networking, communications, and kill chains.
Knowledge and experience working in Agile / Scrum teams, including daily standups, retrospectives, demos/reviews.
Capability to assume a leadership role during reviews and technical meetings.
Development experience in an object-oriented modeling software, MBSE (i.e., Sparx or Cameo).
Experience with MS Project.

Education Requirements

B.S. in engineering or other relevant technical discipline.
M.S. degree in a related STEM field (desired).

Security Clearance Level Required

An active TS/SCI security clearance is required to start. (At least 2 years of TS/SCI experience).
U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.

Location / Travel Requirements:

Place of work is the Garden of the Gods, Colorado Springs, CO. This role is hybrid (on-site/telework).
May require travel up to 20% of the time within the continental United States.

The pay range for this position in Colorado is $170,000/year to $205,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on established government contract ranges, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, and other factors.

Compensation is competitive and may be adjusted for candidates with exceptional qualifications or expertise, including those at the SME level, with potential earnings up to $230,000/year.
