The role: We are seeking a highly reliable, execution-focused Field Ops Specialist (contract) to support G7's Mobile Ops department across field execution, site visits, mobile tour launches, and onsite event support. This role will be hands-on and travel-heavy, designed for someone who thrives in live environments and can flex between planning, logistics, and real-time problem solving in the field.
This individual will work closely with Client Services & Mobile Ops leadership, tour managers, and cross-functional partners to ensure programs are executed seamlessly from pre-launch through live activation. This is a full-time contract position, with consistent travel required based on program needs. When not on the road, the Field Ops Specialist will work from G7's Nashville office on a hybrid basis.
The ideal candidate is adaptable, detail-oriented, calm under pressure, and comfortable representing G7 in-market with clients, partners, and field staff.
POSITION DETAILS
Mobile Ops Field Execution & Travel Support:
- Travel to markets to support mobile tour launches, activations, and live events
- Serve as on-site operational support during program execution, including setup, live event coverage, and breakdown
- Support tour managers and field teams with day-of logistics, troubleshooting, and execution needs
- Conduct site visits in advance of activations to assess logistics, access, power, permitting, and flow
- Act as a G7 representative on-site, ensuring professionalism and alignment with client and brand expectations
- Provide hands-on support during high-volume or high-priority programs as needed
Tour Launch & Program Support:
- Support the planning and execution of mobile tour launches, including vehicle readiness, staffing coordination, and asset deployment
- Assist with route planning, scheduling, and coordination across multiple markets
- Support equipment check-in/check-out, asset tracking, and condition reporting
- Partner with the Mobile Ops department head to ensure operational readiness before programs go live
Logistics & Operational Coordination:
- Assist with shipping logistics, equipment movement, and vendor coordination
- Track and reconcile inventory usage and costs across programs
- Support rental coordination, invoicing review, and expense reconciliation
- Assist with mileage tracking, fuel documentation, and vehicle usage reporting
- Support DOT compliance tasks and background check coordination as needed
Contract Staff & Field Team Support:
- Support onboarding and training of tour managers and field staff in collaboration with the Mobile Ops Department head
- Assist with maintaining accurate field staff rosters and availability
- Serve as a point of contact for field-related questions during program execution
- Help flag staffing gaps, standout talent, or performance concerns to leadership
Operational Reporting & Continuous Improvement:
- Provide post-event and post-launch feedback to help improve systems and processes
- Assist in documenting best practices and learnings from live programs
- Support tracking of billable vs. non-billable time related to mobile ops execution
- Contribute to improving operational workflows across tours and programs

Necessary Qualifications:
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in event execution, event field operations, mobile tours, or experiential marketing.
- Comfortable traveling frequently and working in fast-paced, live-event environments
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Proactive, adaptable, and solutions-oriented
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
- Comfortable working with vendors, field teams, and internal stakeholders
- Ability to manage confidential information appropriately
- Willing and able to work outside standard business hours as needed
- Proficient in Google Suite and MS Office
- Comfortable working around alcohol brands and at a wide variety of music, lifestyle, sporting, and cultural events
- Legally authorized to work within the United States
- Able to perform physical job demands while working outdoors in a wide range of environmental conditions (sun, heat, rain, snow, cold, wind), including but not limited to: sitting, standing, set-up and tear-down of physical assets, loading/unloading vehicles, moving items weighing 50+ lbs, walking large event footprints, and driving vehicles
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to pass standard background check
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Asana
- Familiarity with DOT compliance, background checks, or vehicle based programs is a plus
Work Environment:
- Travel is required throughout the year based on program needs
- Onsite work required at activations, tours, and warehouse locations as needed
- Hybrid when not traveling, based in the Nashville area (moderate noise, open office)
- Very fast-paced, execution-driven environment
