Responsibilities:

Weld pipe based off customer needs and specifications
Measure, cut, and bend various sizes of pipe and tubing to required angle/length using pipe cutters and benders
Copper Brazing and soldering
Threading and assembling black pipe
Prepare, fabricate, install and fit pipe to specifications
Install valves, hangers, supports and flanges in piping systems according to plans and applicable specifications
Repair leaks in all types of pipe systems
Assemble, install and repair piping systems according to specifications and appropriate trade and building codes
Setup, adjust, and operate welding equipment

Requirements:

Industrial pipe welding experience TIG or Stick
Working knowledge of all types of piping systems
Must pass restricted access 6G pipe welding test for employment
Able to position weld in field and in shop atmosphere
Able to work both inside and outside year-round, in varying elements/weather conditions
Must be able to read, comprehend, and interpret pipe drawings
Possess the ability to work skillfully with both hands constantly
Must have the ability to independently lift and carry objects safely that weigh up to 20 pounds routinely, 50 pounds frequently, and 80 pounds occasionally
Ability to climb and maintain balance on ladders and scaffolding
Knowledge of pipes, fittings, and fixtures for heating, water and drainage systems
Must have the ability to read and interpret a written scope of work
Perform basic mathematical computations and use measuring tools
Must be able to identify basic trade materials by size, shape and function and safely use small power tools and hand tools.
Valid Driver's License
