About the Role
Parametrix’s Advisory Services team is expanding our Value Engineering / Management-as-a-Service offering and is seeking a Senior Business Advisor with a Certified Value Specialist (CVS) credential to help lead, shape, and grow this strategic service line.
This role is designed for an experienced value management professional who brings both technical depth and strong facilitation expertise. You will lead complex value engineering studies, serve as a trusted advisor to clients, and play a key role in improving value on key projects and programs, mentoring team members, and expanding our market presence.
Key Responsibilities
Value Engineering & Strategic Advisory Leadership
- Lead value engineering and value analysis studies for large-scale infrastructure projects and capital programs
- Serve as the team leader for value management workshops, guiding multidisciplinary teams through the VM job plan
- Translate technical findings into strategic, executive-level recommendations
- Advise clients on optimizing scope, managing risk, and improving long-term project performance
- Ensure quality, consistency, and rigor across all value management deliverables
- Support value analysis, life cycle cost analysis, constructability analysis, economic evaluations, and other strategic analyses as necessary
Client Engagement & Delivery
- Act as a trusted advisor to public and private sector clients
- Lead client presentations and executive briefings
- Contribute to business case development, capital planning, and governance advisory efforts
- Support advisory services engagements including constructability reviews, project delivery strategy, risk management, process improvement efforts, and other project and program delivery efforts
Service Line Development
- Help standardize and refine methodologies, tools, and templates for the Value Management service offering
- Support business development efforts, including proposals, interviews, presentations at professional conferences, and thought leadership
- Identify opportunities to expand value management services within existing client relationships
- Mentor junior staff participating in value studies and advisory engagements
Qualifications
- Certified Value Specialist (CVS) designation
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Economics, Public Administration, or a related field
- 9+ years of experience supporting infrastructure or capital projects, including demonstrated leadership of value engineering studies and facilitation of value management workshops
- Mastery of Value Management framework and processes, including Function Analysis and Facilitation skills.
- Strong executive-level communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical analysis into strategic recommendations
- Proven ability to manage complex, multidisciplinary engagements and advise senior stakeholders
- Experience in life-cycle cost analysis, risk modeling, and capital project delivery frameworks
- Experience advising public sector clients
- Demonstrated strategic thinking, strong analytical capability, and a track record of contributing to business development and service line growth
- Strong writing skills
Compensation Information: Base salary for this position is in the range of $116,000-$170,000.
Compensation is determined by factors such as education, experience, location, and role. As employee-owners, we are eligible for performance-based bonuses and our salaries are reviewed annually. We value transparency and look forward to discussing our compensation structure.
