This position will report to HB Mechanical Group, LLC, a subsidiary of HB Global. This is a remote position that may require occasional travel. We are looking for a candidate in the Greater Harrisburg area. Please note that we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time. SUMMARY: The Applications Administrator will manage and optimize our organization’s diverse portfolio of applications. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the seamless functioning of our software systems, contributing to overall efficiency and productivity. This includes monitoring and troubleshooting issues within the software environment, forecasting, and planning for application capacity and demand. ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: Install, configure, maintain, and support enterprise applications that drive business operations Partner with internal stakeholders and external vendors to: Deploy regular patches, upgrades, and enhancements Ensure software licensing compliance Support testing, validation, and governance processes Monitor application performance, identify issues, and implement proactive solutions Analyze business needs and recommend system improvements to increase efficiency and scalability Optimize system configurations to enhance performance and reliability Provide end-user support, troubleshooting application-related issues in a timely manner Manage multiple priorities effectively while meeting deadlines Develop and deliver user training to improve adoption and effective use of applications Implement and maintain application security controls to protect sensitive data Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, standards, and internal policies Create and maintain clear documentation, including system configurations, procedures, and user guides Performs other related duties as assigned EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and SKILLS: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field Proven experience as an Applications Administrator or in a similar role Strong understanding of application lifecycle management (deployment, configuration, maintenance) Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and multitasking skills Must demonstrate exceptional verbal and written communication skills Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision PREFERRED QUALIFICTIONS: Experience with ERP or business systems such as Davisware, Sage 300, Sage Inacct, or BuildOps Basic understanding of accounting principles Industry experience Working knowledge of SQL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times Ability to travel to various divisions and worksites as needed WHO WE ARE: A company of trusted brands with a full portfolio of MEP services.
