The Financial Analyst in Employee Benefits (EB) possesses a keen attention to detail, can juggle multiple tasks on an ongoing basis and possesses excellent communication skills. This person must have the ability to exercise independent judgement when analyzing data for areas of risk or concern and presenting solutions. The Financial Analyst facilitates the data/information flow from carriers to partners and is responsible for plan design analysis and contribution modeling. This position also manages dashboards and assigned analytical projects.
In this role, you will contribute to the team by:
- Developing data driven insights, making strategic recommendations and presenting deliverables to clients (both internal and external)
- Leadership and execution of renewal development including underwriting/projections
- Execution of deliverables including but not limited to projections, reporting, plan design analysis/modeling, network disruption analysis, PBM comparisons, point solutions
- Oversight and timeline management of deliverables including but not limited to contribution calculators, dashboards, and financial reporting
- Oversight and timeline management of marketing processes for designated clients
- Delivery of year-round reporting as defined by individual client needs
- Manage data/information flows to/from actuaries as well as Springbuk; reviewing for accuracy
- Direct collaboration on client strategies with Gibson sales and service teams

Required:
- Bachelor’s degree, with prior experience considered in lieu of a diploma with 2 plus years of experience in health insurance or related industry
- Advanced Excel Proficiency (Macros, Power Query, etc.)
- Experience manipulating data and creating reports in tools like Tableau or PowerBI
- Superb communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong analytical and reasoning skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work in a team structure.
- Indiana Health, Life, and Disability license or the ability to obtain the license within 3 months of employment
- CEBS designation (preferred)
