Civil Staff Engineer

As a Civil Staff Engineer, you will contribute to the design, development, and execution of various projects for Energy, Industrial, and Government clients. These projects may include natural gas pipelines, renewable energy systems, water management, infrastructure, and environmental restoration. Under the mentorship of Professional Engineers, you will be involved in all stages of design, analysis, and planning.

Your Day-to-Day:

• Collaborate on Designs: Work alongside licensed engineers on civil engineering designs for energy, infrastructure, and environmental projects.
• Prepare Technical Documents: Develop detailed plans, calculations, and technical specifications for various projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Conduct Site Inspections: Perform on-site inspections to verify the alignment of construction with design specifications, identifying and addressing potential issues.
• Client Support: Maintain regular communication with clients, providing project updates and resolving any concerns promptly.
• Assist in Permitting: Support the permitting process, ensuring all regulatory approvals are obtained for project success.

What You Bring:

• A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in civil engineering design, with a focus on energy, infrastructure, or environmental projects.
• An Engineer in Training (EIT) certification required.
• Strong technical writing and business communication skills.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands:

You are willing and able to perform the physical demands of this position with the use of Company-provided Personal Protective Equipment, such as:
• Working outdoors in varying weather conditions, sometimes outside normal business hours.
• Walking on uneven terrain and using field equipment safely, such as a loaded wheelbarrow.
• Routinely lifting and carrying 40-50lbs of field/laboratory samples and equipment.
• Occasional travel for out-of-town assignments, including overnight trips.
