General Purpose:
We are seeking a high-energy, self-motivated, positive individual who is passionate about the Forage Business and capturing opportunities in the local and regional markets. This individual will have exceptional customer engagement skills and a customer first mindset.
Essential Functions:

• Achieve targeted and agreed upon sales goals
• Build and maintain positive customer relationships – to strengthen customer loyalty and dealer reputation
• Serves as a consultant to our customers by leveraging the equipment and technology as well as the service and support
• Continually improve personal selling capabilities – to respond to customer needs in a more effective manner
• Manages inventory and the remarketing process for forage stock units in Northwest Iowa
• Actively identifies, seeks, and obtains new prospects
• Supports large ag sales representatives in forage sales opportunities at a regional level
Supervisory Duties:
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Excellent knowledge and use of Dealership systems, CRM and all MS Office Products.
• Familiarity and experience with John Deere and competitive products will give you a head start but not required.
• Customer oriented focus and philosophy.
• Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills.
• Solid analytical, business planning, problem solving, and communication skills.
• Must have a passion for sales and for creating innovative solutions for customers.
Education:
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree is required.
Experience:
- Three or more years of experience in agriculture equipment sales is preferred.
- Forage industry experience is preferred.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted on a year for year basis.
Additional Requirements/Licenses/Certifications:
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Passing a driving record (MVR), criminal history background checks, employment verification, and drug screen will be required prior to the start of employment.
- Ability to work extended hours and weekends.

- Travel to customer locations, meetings, and other store locations on a regular basis is necessary.
- Occasional outdoor work in extreme weather conditions (hot/cold); walking on uneven terrain; occasional exposure to insects.
- Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles and vibration.
- Noise level in the work environment is moderate.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required including cold weather gear, eye protection, gloves, and provided uniform.
- A clean and safety-conscientious work environment is required.
- Work may involve long hours and overtime during holidays, weekends, and evenings.
- May be required to rotate on-call responsibilities.
