Accounting Manager

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead our client’s accounting team and oversee the company’s financial processes. As the Accounting Manager, you will play a critical role in managing day-to-day accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and driving financial efficiency. Compensation: $95,000 – $110,000 annually, commensurate with experience
Location: Hartford, CT – on-site

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage all general accounting functions, including the general ledger, payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
Oversee monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
Develop and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with the finance team to produce financial reports and budgets.
Support the external audit process by preparing financial documentation and coordinating with auditors.
Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and professional development.
Drive process improvements and identify efficiencies to enhance the company’s accounting operations as the Accounting Manager.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a managerial role as an Accounting Manager or similar.
Strong understanding of accounting principles, GAAP, and internal controls.
Proven ability to lead a team and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
CPA or CMA preferred but not required
