AP and Payroll Specialist

We are seeking an organized AP and Payroll Specialist to manage accounts payable and payroll functions for our client. As an AP and Payroll Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of vendor payments and employee payroll. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in both areas who is looking to join a collaborative and growing team.

Compensation: $55,000 – $65,000 annually, based on experience
Location: Manchester, CT – on-site

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the full cycle of accounts payable, including processing invoices and ensuring timely vendor payments as the AP and Payroll Specialist.
Reconcile vendor accounts and resolve any discrepancies.
Process employee payroll accurately and on time, including deductions, taxes, and direct deposits for under 100 employees.
Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes related to AP and payroll.
Generate payroll reports and assist with audits as needed.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.

Preferred Qualifications:

Associate degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
3+ years of experience as an AP and Payroll Specialist or in a similar role.
Proficiency in accounting and payroll software, such as QuickBooks or ADP.
Strong understanding of payroll regulations and tax laws.
Excellent organizational and time management skills
