Job Purpose Summary
The Marketing Communications Specialist creates tailored content and communications that effectively promote the Ciranda brand and expertise to multiple audiences including customers, industry partners and the media. Works closely with the broader GTM (Go to Market) and Sustainability teams to develop relevant messages and ensure successful deployment across multiple channels. Plays a critical role in the creation of internal and external content and public relations.
Responsibilities
- Collaborates with GTM team to develop annual content plan, content calendars and key messages.
- Assists in developing the overall marketing communication strategy for Ciranda.
- Writes and edits content, communications, and public relations for internal and external use.
- Develops and produces engaging omnichannel content including print, digital and video, working independently and in collaboration with outside partners/agencies.
- Collaborates internally with the marketing on the deployment and measurement of communications.
- Plays a critical role in collaborating with Sustainability to communicate key stories, messages and initiatives to internal and external stakeholders across multiple channels.
- Partners with cross-functional teams and external suppliers to identify, cultivate and translate information relevant for telling the Ciranda story.
- Manages GTM and Sustainability teams’ projects that require content development. This responsibility encompasses everything from ideation to content development and internal review to completion.
- Monitors trends in content and storytelling for insights that improve Ciranda’s ability to engage effectively with stakeholders.
- Receives and coordinates responses to media inquiries; follows up to ensure accuracy; develops scripts and talking points to leadership.
- Participates in the development of content creation budget and monitors adherence to it.
- Occasional travel to attend industry events and engage with suppliers.
Required Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or English - or equivalent relative experience.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in content marketing. Prior experience in the food industry or sustainability is a plus.
