Northern Logistics is looking for a dependable and motivated 1st and 2nd Shift Dispatcher to join our growing team.
- Schedule: 8:00 AM - 5 PM / 2:00 PM – 11:00 PM
- Monday-Friday
- Enter and manage customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Coordinate and dispatch loads to drivers
- Source and secure backhaul freight using load boards, brokers, and shippers
- Negotiate freight rates and manage load details to support cost-effective operations
- Monitor freight markets and identify opportunities to maximize truck utilization
- Communicate with drivers, customers, brokers, and shippers to ensure smooth operations and on-time deliveries
- Troubleshoot issues and make quick, effective decisions throughout the shift
- Maintain accurate and timely records of freight and dispatch activity
- Work closely with the operations team to ensure efficient daily transportation operations
