POSITION SUMMARY
Provide complete and detailed Piping & SM take-off to support the project leader's estimate.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Read bid documents (front end, specifications and addendums)
- Review and identify drawings (civil, architectural, structural, etc.) for scope gaps or discrepancies in projects.
- Coordinate drawings, scopes and P.O.C.s with other trades
- Set up Piping /Sheetmetal database per job specification
- Perform redlining and system sizing as required to complete the system for takeoff
- Prepare recaps, general conditions, schedules, and letters for the project
- Identify different types of walls for through-duct & pipe rated penetration
- Prepare RFI's for projects
- Run Auto Bid job reports and collate them into recap sheets
- Solicit pricing from vendors, subcontractors, and engineering for projects
- Review subcontractor and equipment scope for leveling, scope coverage related to the scope for the project
- Identify unique alternate systems for pricing
- Identify any codes and engineering issues for risk and opportunity
- Provide take-off quantities of material and labor to project leaders for estimates
- Create and maintain all necessary system documents and files
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- 5 years of Mechanical/HVAC estimating experience, or significant field experience in a relevant trade
- Excellent interpersonal skills
Preferred:
- 10+ years Mechanical/HVAC estimating experience
- Trimble Autobid and/or other estimating software platforms related to Sheetmetal and/or piping
- Knowledge of Sheetmetal & piping standards and codes
- Microsoft Office skills, Bluebeam, Navis model
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk.
- Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times.

Pay Range: $90,000 - $110,000 per year
