Overview

Highlight is seeking a quality assurance professional to manage & oversee our integrated Quality Management System (QMS). The Quality Manager (QM) will be responsible for implementing Highlight’s commitment to quality, process maturity, and the organization’s ISO & CMMI compliance strategy. The QM will collaborate with Highlight’s employees and partners to ensure the successful renewal of ISO registrations/CMMI ML3 appraisals. Next CMMI appraisal is in Fall 2026. QM will have support from process/artifact owners and 1-2 QA staff members to assist in administration of QMS. Highlight maintains seven certifications/registrations:

CMMI-DEV ML 3
CMMI-SVC ML 3
ISO 9001:2015
ISO/IEC 20000-1:2018
ISO/IEC 27001:2022
ISO 44001:2017
ISO 56002:2019

This is a fully remote, part-time role requiring about 20 hrs/week. Consultants welcome. Can accommodate W2, 1099, B2B. Working hours are very flexible. Must be resident of the Continental US.

Responsibilities

Ensure the successful renewal of ISO registrations/CMMI ML3 appraisals; obtain new certifications as needed.
Drive quality outcomes, process maturity, and continual improvement activities across the organization. Map quality initiatives to corporate business goals.
Maintain QMS as standards/certs are upgraded, changed, or added.
- Design, manage, and operate internal auditing program.
- Track all ISO “shall” statements, CMMI practices, and associated artifacts. Ensure artifacts are adequate & appropriately mapped; adjust compliance strategy as needed.
- Train stakeholders on new and existing processes; audit adherence to established procedures and administer corrections as needed.
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure ISO/CMMI-facing processes are developed in harmony with all requirements, standards, and regulations.

Qualifications

Working knowledge of and previous exposure to CMMI appraisal process and ISO registration/auditing lifecycle required.
Working knowledge of government contracting and the federal bid/proposal process strongly preferred.
Certifications preferred:
- CMMI Practitioner or above
- ISO QMS Internal Auditor Training or similar
- Similar QA Management Certs.
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Excellent communication and organization skills.
Must be resident of the Continental US.
