Overview

Come join Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) in Charleston as a Survey Technician in the Survey group. As a Survey Technician for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC), you will be part of a survey field crew performing work on topographic and boundary surveys, as well as construction stakeouts. You will perform land survey work through the application of surveying principles and practices and use of modern survey equipment. You will operate instrumentation, clear brush, drive stakes, hold chains or rods, record data, prepare sketches and maintain equipment as-needed. You will also have the opportunity to be responsible for utilizing surveying software applications to gather, retrieve and interpret important data, as well as performing basic survey computations. Ultimately, this position will provide a foundation for further professional development as a land surveyor.

Qualifications

0-2 years related survey experience;
Ability to operate motorized equipment and possession of sufficient physical stamina to work outdoors under various field conditions;
Valid Driver's License.
