We are seeking qualified candidates for an Accounts Receivable Specialist that can join our accounting team to be primarily responsible for accounts receivables. This person will use their accounting skills to ensure that customer accounts are accurate and up-to-date and that receivables are posted timely and accurately. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a motivated, reliable, and detail oriented individual who can be a solutions-oriented contributor.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive payments by ACH, Check and Credit Card and reconcile with open invoices. Resolve discrepancies and ensure credits and/or discounts are recorded accurately.
- Post payments into the accounting system and accurately document any credits and/or discounts.
- Manage the AR Aging by making necessary customer phone calls/emails to bring accounts current.
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone and email. Reconcile customer account statements.
- Support the monthly accounting close through analysis of accounts receivable and related general ledger accounts.
- Assist other members of the team and complete other tasks and duties as assigned.
- Keep sensitive information confidential.
Key Qualifications:
- At least 2 years relevant experience
- Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel
- Experience working with accounting systems
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with customer service and communication with customers.
- Previous experience in manufacturing is a plus, but not required.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to sit or stand in a stationary position up to 100% of the time.
- Must be able to walk in an office and production environment up to 100% of the time.
- Must be able to exchange accurate and concise information verbally in person and on the phone.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
