Scope of Responsibilities: Oversees operations of the Pharmacy department. Relies on experience and professional judgment to plan and accomplish assigned tasks and goals.
Job Summary: Responsible for the implementation and adherence to the HealthDirect Standard of Practice as it relates to the provision of the highest quality health care service to our customers.
Responsibilities
Job Duties:
- Follows the HealthDirect Standard of Practice to dispense prescriptions
- Performs all quality assurance steps to insure a technically accurate prescription is dispensed. Reports dispensing incidents in a timely manner, in accordance with company guidelines
- Follows all State and Federal regulations governing the practice of Pharmacy
- Oversees the initial submission, resubmission and collection of all third party claims
- Manages and balances the pharmacy inventory to ensure maximum turns while still remaining in-stock for customer needs.
- Insures prescription files and other manual records are maintained in accordance with all state and federal guidelines
- Insure outstanding customer service is exhibited by all employees at all times
- Insure all loss Prevention policies are followed by all employees and report deviations from said policies to Loss Prevention
- Oversees the maintenance of the pharmacy department to insure a clean and professional environment
- Maintains and develops professional relationships with doctors and others in the health service professions
- Maintains an awareness of developments in the Pharmacy and Health Care Services fields that relate to job responsibilities and integrates them into own practice
- Maintains confidentiality regarding all patient information
- Facilitates communication between professional staff and pharmacy personnel.
- Work on-call schedule, where applicable
- Interacts with Facility Manager in the appropriate completion of hiring practices, performance reviews and disciplinary actions of pharmacy department personnel.
- Perform MTM, IMMR, short stay reviews, delivery at discharge, and other clinical functions to support consultant pharmacists and maintain compliance at customer locations.
- Assists in meeting or exceeding budgetary sales guidelines and operating the pharmacy within said guidelines
- Interface with various auditors and outside agencies, as needed
- Responsible for completing all mandatory and regulatory training programs
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education:
Minimum: BS or Pharm D degree in Pharmacy
Job Requirements:
- Possess and maintain a valid State License and current registration to practice Pharmacy
- Ability to stand/walk throughout majority of shift
- Successful completion of a pre-employment and/or random drug screening test

Compensation:
$81,931.20 - $123,496.06 per year
The final offer will be determined after careful consideration of multiple factors such as relevant skills, years of experience and education.
