Overview

Loureiro Engineering Associates is seeking an Engineer 1 to add to our team for our Plainville, CT office.

Responsibilities

Under close supervision, performs a variety of engineering and/or technical tasks, including input of data into pre-written computer programs.
Operates a computer and runs reports on calculations.
Designs portions of a project under supervision.
Researches catalogs for commercially available equipment to avoid expense of original design.
Specifies equipment based on catalog searches.
Researches code requirements in out-of-town project sites.
Prepares environmental impact and other administrative reports required for project permits.
May prepare the drawings of designs he or she has originated (typically will not draft the designs of others).
Performs other work as apparent or assigned
Works safely and abides by the firm’s policies and procedures.

Excellent customer service skills.

Knowledge and Experience:

Must have a degree in engineering.
Has little or no professional experience.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
