This position is located at our Laredo terminal and is responsible for assisting drivers and yard employees with tarping, securing, and untarping loads entering and exiting the Laredo yard. Must do so safely and according to DOT and Melton policies. This role will also operate a forklift to adjust/move loads and load placement on trailers.
The shift for this position is Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday from 7am to 6pm.
Requirements:
Must be physically able to lift 90 pound tarps, climb ladders, balance and walk on trailers and loads, throw straps, and work in the heat. Must have a good attitude and put safety first.
Flatbed driving/load securement experience preferred.
Forklift experience is required. Must be able to safely operate a 30,000 pound fork truck.
Must be fully English/Spanish bilingual.
