ConMet - Canton, NC location is looking to fill a Maintenance Mechanic position to perform maintenance and repairs on a variety of injection molding/assembly mechanical equipment and systems.

This is a 12 Hour Night shift Position.

What You Will Do:

Perform maintenance and repair tasks on a variety of injection molding/assembly mechanical equipment and systems
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues
Analyze equipment performance and make necessary adjustments or repairs
Fabricate and install mechanical components as needed
Conduct regular inspections to ensure equipment is functioning properly
Perform required preventative maintenance duties according to prepared procedures
Collaborate with other team members to complete projects and meet deadlines
Observe and comply with all company rules and regulations including the NFPA 70E Arc Flash PPE and procedures

What You Need to be Successful:

Minimum 2 years of college and/or trade school
Minimum 4 years of related job experience, with emphasis on equipment maintenance and repair
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and components
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints
Proficiency in using hand and power tools for repairs and installations
Familiarity with high-voltage and low-voltage systems
Experience in field service or industrial electrician roles is a plus
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Working knowledge of PLC programming and operation
Good working knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics
Ability to safely utilize a forklift and a high-lift
