James M. Pleasants Company (JMP) is a 100% employee-owned company in the manufacturing industry headquartered in Greensboro, North Carolina. Established in 1958, James M. Pleasants set out to make Bell & Gossett products available to regional customers. Over their 65 years, the company has since expanded from that single product line to now offering nearly fifty, delivering cutting-edge solutions for energy-efficient water, steam, and condensate systems. Today, JMP operates thirteen locations throughout the Southeast.
In 1983, James M. Pleasants Company became employee-owned when they implemented an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). As an employee-owned company, JMP firmly believes success hinges on their reputation as the preeminent manufacturer's representative, as perceived by their customers, vendors, and employees.
