SUMMARY:
Fabricate Hydraulic and Industrial Hoses assemblies. Must occasionally travel to customer locations to replace customer's conveyor belts and make sure they are running properly. Identify hose and proper fittings, locate correct crimp specs for each assembly. Each assembly must be measured, cut, assembled, crimped, tested, and tagged appropriately by performing the following duties:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Read work orders and drawings with the ability to plan and prioritize work.
Identify materials and locations.
Cut materials to precise lengths and quantities.
Operate a forklift, scissor lift, pallet jack, chop saw.
Label hose assemblies with color coded tape, colored caps, metal tags, laminated tags, or plastic tags according to customer specifications.
Test hose assembly using the appropriate method and fill out test reports accordingly.
Must use crimping machines and banding equipment on a regular basis.
Document crimps and maintain shop schedule.
Work in team-oriented setting and be able to effectively communicate with peers and supervisors.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills Individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Ability to become forklift certified.
Other Skills and Abilities Should have high mechanical aptitude.
Other Qualifications Some overtime is required. Must have the ability to be on call. Must be flexible to work in other areas of the shop as needed.
