Avion Solutions Inc., an employee-owned company, seeks candidates for a Propulsion SME to support Aviation Turbine Engine (ATE) Program Office. This position is based in Huntsville, AL.

Job Responsibilities/Duties:

Provide technical expertise and recommendations in support of the acquisition, management, and development of engine programs managed by the ATE Program Office (PO).
Advise and mentor ATE PO engineering staff throughout the acquisition, development, and operational life cycle of US Army engine programs.
Support technical Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) conducting Improved Turbine Engine qualification efforts and the development and qualification of the AE1107F FLRAA engine and APU.
Assist with engine and system design reviews at the engine and component level.
Address safety and readiness issues for fielded T700 and T55 engines, as well as associated propulsion system components and systems.
Support and witness engine and component development and qualification testing.
Provide expert input on engineering issue resolution and technical development.

Required Experience:

Master’s degree (MA/MS) in a relevant field.
10+ years of experience in propulsion system engineering.
Exceptional expertise with T700 and T55 Engines.
Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time. US travel only.

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong written and oral communication skills.
Extensive experience with aircraft systems and platforms associated with UH-60, AH-64, and CH-47 aircraft.
More than 15 years of experience in program management within government or defense sectors.
PhD in a relevant field such as Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Aerospace Engineering.
Ability to work in a hybrid environment (in-office and telework), demonstrating flexibility to meet customer requirements.
