This summer internship program is a rotational position that will expose you to multiple facets of the SC&H Technology Advisory Practice. Over the course of the internship, you will complete four different rotations, each offering a deep dive into a different area of our team. These rotations will allow you to explore the different career paths within the team, build essential skills, collaborate with various team members on their expertise area, and interact directly with clients and their projects. Beyond the Technology Advisory team, you will explore the other service lines at SC&H Group and build relationships with others in your intern cohort through social activities and internal projects. By the end of the program, you will have acquired valuable insights into our organization and developed a diverse skill set.
Internship Overview:
- Co-Managed IT is the Technology Advisory’s team that provides clients with highly professional IT managed services. This includes functions like helpdesk and daily IT support, cloud, security, and network performance management. In this rotation, you will be assisting clients with employee onboarding, creating SOPs and documentation, and shadowing on client sites directly troubleshooting live technology issues.
- Mid-Market EPM implements NetSuite’s powerful EPM solution for mid-market clients. Our clients’ goals are to optimize budgeting, forecasting, and planning and to ultimately transform their data with much deeper insights. You will be hands-on supporting the set-up of client environments and joining scoping calls to understand the needs of our clients in this rotation.
- Cloud Strategy & Infrastructure spends time with clients defining the best path to a technology landscape that meets their needs. Each client is different, and their technology requirements reflect that. These projects start with a full assessment of a client’s current infrastructural technology stack, then a recommended roadmap is agreed upon before working directly with the client to achieve project goals. Your role will consist of joining a client assessment and shadowing team members on a client site, seeing the ins and outs of the pain points first-hand. You will then demonstrate an understanding of how the implemented solution matches organizational goals.
- ERP & Applications Advisory works very closely with clients to understand their needs around different software solutions, with a special focus on ERPs. Getting in the weeds with the clients’ staff and their day-to-day, results in a great relationship and an improved technology experience. You can expect to work directly on application implementation and sit in working sessions with clients to problem solve for difficult requirements.
Expected Activities & Responsibilities:
Over the course of the internship, you can expect to engage in a variety of meaningful activities. These include, but are not limited to:
- Collaboration & Teamwork: Work closely with various teams, assisting with cross-functional projects and contributing to team objectives.
- Project Support: Assist with the preparation, execution, and delivery of key action items or deliverables, including research, analysis, and data migration.
- Learning & Development: Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance your knowledge around industry terminology and professional engagement.
- Presentation Opportunities: Present a client case study to the Technology Advisory team where you completed a deep dive into who a client is and what our role is within their organization.
- Problem Solving & Innovation: Engage in brainstorming sessions to pursue project milestones directly with clients and vendors.
- Networking: Attend networking events, meet company leaders, and learn more about the company culture.
