About being our Design Engineer

Are you ready to take the next step in your engineering career? Psomas, a leader in delivering innovative and sustainable infrastructure solutions, is seeking an entry- to mid-level Civil Design Engineer to join our talented teams in Seattle and Tacoma.

At Psomas, we pride ourselves on fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment where engineers can thrive. Our engineering group is engaged in a variety of exciting municipal projects, including roadway, water, sewer, and stormwater utility systems. As we take on current and upcoming projects, we're looking for a motivated professional with a passion for creating impactful, community-driven designs.

Responsibility Highlights for our Design Engineer

Set-up and draft construction plans for roadway and utility design using AutoCAD Civil 3D
Perform quantity calculations and cost estimates
Attend meetings with both clients and stakeholders
Field visits during design process and project support during construction

Minimum Qualifications to be our Design Engineer

Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering
2+ years of professional experience

Preferred Qualifications for our Design Engineer

EIT Certification
Interest in Stormwater Engineering a plus!
AutoCAD and Civil 3D proficiency
Ability to handle multiple project commitments

A competitive salary! The genuinely expected range for this position is $36 - 48/hour depending on experience.
Compensation may be adjusted for well qualified candidates
8 Paid Holidays & 3 - 4 Weeks of PTO (depending on experience; includes WA Sick Leave)
