Learn more about our culture.About The JobWe are seeking an entry-level water/wastewater project engineer to provide planning, assessment, and design services as part of a project team for water, wastewater and recycled water projects with an emphasis on treatment facilities. Duties and Responsibilities (may include some or all of the below): • Willing and able to travel within California for fieldwork including site visits, field measurements, condition assessments, Operations and Maintenance workshops, and client meetings.
• Perform engineering evaluations and develop technical studies and reports.
• Perform engineering calculations, research, and analysis. Clearly document formulas and methodology used, and check work.
• Assist in the preparation of engineering design plans, specifications, and cost estimates.

Minimum Requirements• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline.
• Relevant coursework and/or emphasis on water/wastewater engineering.
• Engineer-in-Training certification preferred but not required.
• 0 - 4 years engineering consulting experience.
• Preferred experience includes engineering planning, assessment, and/or design of water and/or wastewater treatment facilities and pumping stations.
• Familiar with basic aspects of engineering and construction, such as Plans, Specifications, RFIs, submittals, cost estimates, etc.
• Familiar with common wastewater treatment processes and facilities.
• Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft office products (especially Word and Excel), have excellent writing, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Service-oriented, motivated, self-starter seeking to complement a highly skilled, professional engineering team.
• Able to work on challenging assignments in a team environment.
