What We Offer:
- Competitive Compensation: With a base pay of $78K-$98K combined with commission, total earnings range from $85K-$135K in the first full year based on performance. In future years, earnings can exceed $150K and higher. With no cap on commissions, you have the opportunity for unlimited earnings. The Team You’ll Work With …
As the Outside Commercial Sales Representative, you will work directly with our talented Commercial Sales team to network and build relationships with commercial architects, designers, brands, and contractors while providing exceptional account management, all while loving to sell and loving tile. The Outside Commercial Sales Rep will ensure our Pacific Northwest customers have an industry-best experience, maintaining our reputation for quality and service. This role reports to the VP of Sales. It is located in the Seattle Metro Area, spending approximately 75% of your time in the field with clients primarily across the Puget Sound region, including Seattle, Bellevue, Tacoma, and Everett. Our culture thrives on professional development, ongoing training, and opportunities for growth within the organization. This is a salary position and pays $78K-$98K.
You will be part of our highly collaborative 15-person commercial sales team across the U.S., as well as our full 60-person growing sales organization, responsible for managing your book of key accounts. Your compensation is directly tied to your success in maintaining active accounts, creating new project leads, and converting projects into quotes and book sales. You will be supported by a phenomenal team across Marketing, Sales, Client Support, Innovation, and Production to ensure all logistics and customer support are handled with VIP care. Our Sales & Client Support team is exceptional, and our use of technology leveraging Salesforce, Slack, Google Apps, and more is best in class, making you more productive and able to focus on what matters most.
With over 10 years of commercial sales experience in tile, I am passionate about mentoring and supporting the team to build meaningful relationships with customers. I leverage my deep knowledge of technical and customization methods to ensure the job is done beautifully and efficiently.
The opportunities you will have …
- Sales Excellence: Meet and exceed sales targets while setting a new standard for initiative and efficiency.
- Client Engagement: Provide comprehensive support to clients, from responding to inquiries with detailed product, pricing, and delivery information to advising on design choices. This is an in-market role, and we expect you to be a high-performance networker with excellent interpersonal skills who is face-to-face with clients at least four days per week.
- Brand Ambassadorship: Represent Fireclay Tile’s core values and commitment to U.S.-made sustainability by leading 15-20 product presentations and project reviews weekly at client offices, design studios, and Seattle-based events.
- Building a Network of Specifiers: Maintain client libraries with the most current and applicable products to ensure an updated product assortment.
- Manage Travel & Entertainment Budget: Utilize a generous budget to travel and create unique client experiences that connect them to our brand and products.

TRAVEL: Travel to access your key market city centers, California (Fireclay HQ), Washington, or other places, a few times a year will be required. Travel may be done via a variety of ways, including driving your car or a rental car, plane or train, public transportation, including bus, subway, and other shared rides such as Taxi, Uber, or Lyft, bicycling, walking, running, or other means as deemed appropriate and safe. Ensuring you are following all safety precautions and the law during travel is essential.
WORK REQUIREMENTS: This is a full-time exempt position. Days and hours of work are approximately Monday through Friday; hours may vary, and some weekend work is required for events and supporting clients. This position often requires long hours and frequent early morning/evening work based on networking and client engagement events.

The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, stock options, and a discretionary bonus in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, including a 4% 401(k) match, PTO (non-exempt) or FTO (exempt), benefits, sick time, parental leave, and other perks.
