Lochmueller Group is looking for a Stormwater & Hydraulics Project Manager to join our growing team. This will be a key role on our team providing project management and oversight on a variety of DOT and local agency infrastructure projects.

The ideal candidate for this role will be a licensed professional engineer with strong project management, interpersonal and organizational skills.

Lochmueller Group is a regional engineering consulting firm with an emphasis on infrastructure. We provide multi-disciplined services for a variety of public agencies and private entities, including transportation design; water resources design; environmental analysis & permitting; construction engineering & inspection; traffic engineering & transportation planning; surveying; and land acquisition & appraisal. Our transportation design team offers a variety of services, but most of our work involves roadway and bridge design for various local public agencies and state DOT’s.

In this position, the candidate will:

Work as a project manager with responsibility for DOT, municipal and local agency projects which may include small structure hydraulics, bridge hydraulics, bridge scour analysis, storm sewer design, detention design, and stormwater management.
May perform project management for multiple projects simultaneously.
Regularly interact and coordinate with clients, designers, and other project stakeholders.
Build and lead cross-functional project teams assigning tasks to team members that may include engineers, technicians, and administrative staff.
Oversee the work of project groups including engineers and/or technicians and perform QA/QC.
Ensure project designs are in conformance with the latest design specifications.
Perform design quantity computations and checks.
Plan, schedule, and coordinate the preparation of documents or activities for projects.
Provide mentorship to junior level staff.
Ensure compliance with various Federal, State, and local rules and regulations.
Ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
Attend project meetings and present specific aspects of project assignments.
Assist with proposals and/or funding applications.
May perform other duties related to the role.

Qualifications for this role:

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or other applicable engineering field.
Professional Engineer (PE).
8+ years of relevant experience working on transportation hydraulics and stormwater projects.
Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or Microstation, InRoads Drainage, Civil 3D, SWMM, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, StormCAD, HY-8, TR-20, and/or other related software.
Experience with project management and accounting software.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work individually or as part of a team.
