We are seeking qualified candidates for a Customer Service/Inside Sales Specialist position in Russellville, AR
Working as part of the Microplane® Customer Service team, this role will be responsible for managing customer accounts in our B2B retail sales channel and could include providing customer service in our B2C direct to consumer sales channel. This position is responsible for specific sales rep/territory assignments in which those retail customers would be the focus. This role is also responsible for providing excellent daily customer service activities and providing support to other departments such as Marketing, Sales, Accounting, Shipping, Production, etc. Support within the company is essential as we are working together towards the goal of growth and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
B2B, Support Retail Sales Channel
- Assignment of territories supporting outside sales team.
- Perform order entry, process payments, conduct item set up for key accounts, follow necessary workflow’s (i.e.: customer incidents, sales notes, etc.)
- Communicate with reps/customers on out-of-stock items, discontinued items, past due invoices, or anything pertaining to the customer accounts
- Research & resolve payment chargebacks and deductions that were not approved
- Support marketing & sales for improved customer relations
- May include working directly with consumers to maximize both the customer experience and the average sale per order
Administrative / General
- Past Dues
- Contacting reps/customers once they are more than 30 days past due
- Notifying Accounting of any customer credit card payments regarding invoice payments
- Deduction research (ie chargebacks, short ships, etc.)
- Processing defective requests and shipping replacements
- Box and ship sample requests for CS Reps and customers
- Maintain excellent communication via telephone, internet & email with all internal and external customers. Communicate concisely and professionally both in written & verbal form
- Successfully perform as part of a team environment
- Be an active participant in the Great Game of Business concept including reading materials and mini games
- Other miscellaneous duties as needed
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred) or 5+ years’ experience in sales support & customer service
- Natural sales aptitude with strong track record in follow-up and outside sales support. Including upselling. Experience strongly preferred.
- High level of competency and comfort level with business technology. Experience in using various online platforms, internet, Outlook email, Teams/Instant Messaging, vendor portals, Microsoft Office Suite
- Able to prioritize work appropriately in a complex environment where there are shifting priorities. Organizational skills a must.
- Be innovative and creative. Be bold in idea sharing and process improvements with others
- Exceptional communication skills both verbal and written
- Periodic travel equal to 10% or less of the time
