Branch Associate

Locke Supply • Springfield, MO • $15 / hour • 4d ago

We are looking for more than just an employee; we are looking for employee owners! As a Branch Associate at our 100% employee-owned company, you aren't just filling orders, you are building your own wealth while supporting the local trade community. We hire for character first, looking for individuals who take pride in their work, treat every customer like a partner, and act with integrity.

Who is Locke Supply:

Locke Supply Co. is a growing, employee-owned distributor for plumbing, electrical, and HVAC parts and equipment based in Oklahoma City. The history of the company dates to 1955, when Don and Wanda Locke opened a wholesale plumbing supply outlet in Bartlesville, OK. Locke Supply had a marketing vision of taking the merchandise to the customers' territory with exceptional customer service. It didn't take long for customers to develop a strong liking for the way Locke Supply did business, which led to the opening of a second branch in 1958. This concept has allowed Locke Supply to grow in areas never considered. Today, there are over 190 store locations in a 6- state area and a 100-acre distribution center to supply them all.

The Cornerstones of Our Team:

Character: You are honest, dependable, and do the right thing even when no one is watching.
Service: You have a "customer-first" heart, helping our communities and customers with the products they need.
Ownership: You think long-term, knowing your hard work builds equity in a company where you are a beneficial shareholder.

Key Responsibilities:

Exceptional Customer Service: Greet every customer with a friendly, professional attitude. Act as a consultant, providing product recommendations and cost-effective solutions for electrical, plumbing, and HVAC projects.
Operational Integrity: Meticulously track inventory and manage orders with 100% accuracy. You understand that being a good steward of our stock directly impacts our shared profitability.
Branch Pride: Maintain a clean, organized, professional branch and warehouse. You take initiative to improve the branch because it is your branch.
Collaborative Success: Work as a cohesive team to meet branch profit goals. Support your fellow associates by assisting with deliveries, shipping, and receiving as needed.
Continuous Learning: Take ownership of your technical growth. Actively participate in training programs for the latest trade products and technologies to better serve our customers.

Exceptional & Affordable Benefits:
We believe our associates should be well-cared for. We offer a comprehensive, high-value benefits package designed to be accessible for every full-time associate:

True Ownership: Participation in our ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan) is at no cost to you. This is a powerful wealth-building tool for your retirement that grows as the company succeeds together.
Affordable Healthcare: We provide comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans with low monthly premiums, ensuring you and your family have top-tier coverage without the heavy financial burden.
Wellness & Security: Enjoy peace of mind with company-paid life insurance, short-term and long-term disability, and a 401(k) plan with a generous company match in addition to your ownership stake.
Work-Life Balance: We offer competitive paid time off, consistent daytime hours, and are closed on Sundays, so you can enjoy life outside of work.

Preferred Qualifications:

A "mechanically minded" individual with a desire to learn the electrical, plumbing, and HVAC trades.
Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to building long-term customer relationships.
A high school diploma or GED, the ability to pass a background check, Drug screen, and a DOT (Department of Transportation) physical.

Why Join Us?
As an employee-owned company, we offer a total rewards package that standard employers can't match. As a beneficial shareholder in our ESOP, you will build significant retirement wealth over time as our business grows. We offer a stable work environment, a voice in our success, and a clear path for career advancement.
