Role Summary:
Under the supervision of the Proposal Manager, you will be responsible for providing administrative support throughout the proposal process, coordinating with service areas and the Business Development Team to develop and submit compelling proposals. You should have a strong foundation in InDesign and advanced proficiency in Word, along with excellent writing and editing skills. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a can-do attitude and a willingness to go the extra mile to meet competing deadlines. You will manage multiple proposals, collaborate closely with our graphics team to create engaging visuals, and ensure that all submissions are organized, clear, and compliant with branding guidelines and client requirements.
Competencies:
- 2+ years of prior marketing proposal coordinator experience or related marketing role in AEC industry in high-volume, demanding environment
- Strong experience working with Adobe InDesign is required, some experience with Adobe Photoshop preferred
- Advanced level of MS Word (styles, formatting, etc.)
- Knowledge of marketing and communication principles
- Strong organizational, written, and spoken communication skills
- Strong ability to manage proposal process from beginning to end, facilitating meetings, gathering information, and setting and meeting technical deadlines
- A keen eye for detail, visualization, layout, and/or graphic design skills to facilitate appealing and effective communication
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively and respectfully with team members
- Efficiency working under pressure in a dynamic deadline-driven environment
- Strong writing and editing skills (including grammar and punctuation)
- Attention to detail and excellent proofreading abilities
- Team-oriented with the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team
- Ability to multi-task, be proactive, work independently or in a team setting, and establish priorities
- Ability to exhibit initiative, creativity, adaptability, and accountability
Education and Experience:
- BA/BS or equivalent experience in Communication, Marketing, Business or Journalism or related field
- 2-3 years’ experience in proposals, communications, writing/journalism or marketing
- Engineering industry marketing support experience preferred but not mandatory
Salary range: $65,000 - $70,000 (based on experience)
