Job Summary:

An Inside Sales Clerk is responsible for assisting the Outside Sales Team with research, administrative, and customer service support for all accounts. The candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office, and they must be able to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

Responsibilities:

- Assist Outside Sales Team with research, administrative, and customer service support for all accounts.

- Develop relationships with new and current commercial, residential, and industrial contractor accounts by representing Inline Electric Supply Company product lines while offering the best-in-class customer service via written correspondence, email, or phone calls.

- Keep up to date all company product information to keep customers current with product

information, procedures, pricing, delivery, inventory availability, back-order procedures,

and any value-added product information.

- Promote and support the company sales plan while accurately recording all IMARK

activities in support of the plan.

- Maintain profitability quotas while achieving designated sales goals for the assigned territory.

- Identify and evaluate all problem accounts in the assigned territory. Develop strategy and resolution options with appropriate Inline Electric or supplier personnel.

- Proactively provide product information for management through supplier evaluating meetings to meet customer product needs.

- Proper interaction with customers and company credit department that facilitates proper credit practices while maintaining positive customer relationships.

- Complete, or have functional knowledge of, take-offs from electrical drawings and submits to the necessary quotation team.

- Exercise a maximum degree of independent thought, discretion, and control in the pursuit of the company’s marketing and sales objectives.

- Perform all other duties as assigned by the department manager or leadership team.

Education and Experience:

- Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

- 2-5 years of prior sales experience is preferred.

- No history of drug or alcohol abuse

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to sit, stand, or walk for prolonged periods of time

- Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry 30lbs. or more

- Ability to speak and listen clearly and effectively
